The regatta is divided into sections starting with the Bank Holiday Weekend and ending with the Final Saturday.

Burnham Week relies heavily on its sponsors; without them the Week would not run smoothly or efficiently.
The Town Cup is the most prestigious trophy of Burnham Week, being the prize for first place on handicap in the final Saturday Race in Class One. First won by Neith in 1927, in 2007 it was the turn of "Oystercatcher XXVI".
