The BSC
The Burnham Sailing Club was formed in 1930 to offer local people, often involved in the waterfront yachting businesses at the weekends, the opportunity to sail midweek. The present clubhouse, opened in 1935 (built for £350!), has access to a pontoon and offers parking for both dinghies and cars to the rear.
The BSC maintains the tradition started in the thirties and offers Wednesday evening racing to all comers, IRC rated boats, 707s, Contessas, Impalas, and Squibs as well as local handicap classes. We have a lively Junior Section, racing in Optimists, Cadets, Scows, Mirrors, Toppers, Lasers and Fevas. The youngsters also meet on Friday evenings when they can learn or practise or just discover the love of being in boats.
Come and join us on Wednesday or Friday evenings when you are assured a warm welcome and the chance to enjoy a meal and watch the sailing in comfort.
